I was wondering. When you are losing the weight, can you do crunches and sit ups and will they show when you loose it all? Also, are pushups a alternatives for weights? To workout your arms?

Pushups are one of the best equipment-free exercises you can do. Why? Because of the variety you can inject into your workouts with them. The traditional pushup yo know and love works your chest, triceps, biceps, and abdominals (remember to keep your body straight!). Move your arms wider (about a foot further apart than normal pushups) and you can work your back and Laterals. Move you hands in closer to your sides and you isolate your triceps. Pushups on your fingertips strengthen your hands. With a proper spotter, you can even to handstand pushups against a wall (Don't try it alone, use a spotter to keep you from hurting yourself) and that will work your trapezius and Deltoid muscles in your shoulders. You can elevate your feet in a normal pushup to increase the resistance.
There's almost as much variety that you can do in crunches, too. Traditional crunches for upper abs, twisting crunches for your obliques, leg lifts for your lower abs. Go from laying flat on your back to a full body crunch for overall ab workout. etc, etc.
Adding a little resistance training to your workouts can be a good thing. It will help firm and tone your muscles, it burns extra calories, and yes, it will show, even before you hit your target weight.

I like exercise balls because you can do situps on them and such or use them to add a little weight when you do squats and work your arms a little.
