Hey all!
Well my best friend just got engaged on Sunday! It was her birthday and she is super jazzed ;D
Yesterday she asked me to be her maid of honor! I almost cried! Now I just have to get skinny!
Right now I am 5'1" and weigh about 260 lbs... I wear a size 22 in pants and it really really sucks. I am very out of shape and it shows. Some days I hate myself (but I think we all have those), but most of the time I have a great self image and am happy being me.
I don't want to be a fatty at her wedding! She is talking about a date in October 2005, nothing is set in stone and most of my married friends pushed back their dates a couple times. But, I'd still like to lose at least 100 lbs by this time next year. This isn't way out there (only 2 lbs a week) so I know I can do it, I just need to stay motivated!
I just got DDR on Sunday (10/10) and can say it's the best thing that's happened to me. I feel sooo motivated to exercise now, cause it's not "exercise", it's a game!
I also saw Supersize Me a couple weeks ago... WOW! Can I just say, I'll never be eating fast food again! That was a real eye opener. Other than cutting out the fast food though, I haven't made any significant changes in my diet. (baby steps lol) But let me tell you guys, since I am a college student and I work, I was eating ALOT of fast food. It was quick and cheap, need I say more.
My birthday is October 24th. I'll be 24. My goal, as of right now, is to be at 150 lbs by my 25th birthday. My overall, long-term goal is to get down to 125 lbs. That was the smallest I have ever been; it was my sophmore year of high school (so long ago) Maybe by Summer 2006! Here's hopin'!
Any words of advice are more than welcome! I've read most of the journals and testimonials and seen the pics from other people on the board, it's incredible and sooo motivating!
