Hey guys! I'm new here, and I've been working my bum off lately to shed the extra pounds. My best friend has played DDR competitively for 4 years or so now, and I've played for almost as long. I've taken a rather lenghty break, but now my roommates just recently purchased DDR EXtreme for PS2 and I've begun playing again.
I BELIEVE I weigh in at around 230-240 right now, i might be more since I've been bulking up in the weight room. My goal is to hit 190.
Anyhoo, time to get to what you guys wanna know... diet pills! And no, I don't mean diet pills like stacker 2 which are gonna end up hurting you. I mean diet supplements. Vitamins, minerals, and other things like this are essential to helping to get rid of the weight.
So far, the best I have found is Equate: Diet Smart. It's about 6.00 at walmart, and is basically a generic version of Weight Watchers one-a-day vitamins (which cooincidentally sell for about 2x the price).
These vitamins are basically just a normal multivitamin, with one exception: they focus solely on the vitamins and minerals which your body uses to support your metabolism. Effectively, they work to speed up your metabolism.
They also include green tea extract, to help you get off yer duff and go play ddr!
Obviously, diet is important along with these (you're not gonna lose weight taking the vitamins, playing ddr all day, etc, if you're chugging down 12 liters of soda a day). So, grab some vitamins, eat healthier (a little healthier alone will yeild great results), and have some fun dancing!
~Peace~

Does this sound like a commercial? I'm feeling a definite commercial vibe here.

Sorry if it came across like that I didn't mean it to. I tried to leave it open ended for people to reccomend other dietary supplements that they've found to help. By the way, thanks for the nice welcome to the boards

Man, I must have been crabby yesterday. All you did was recommend generic supplements from WalMart.
I'm sorry. I've been deleting porn and commercial comments from my blog so often that I've become a little touchy about the whole thing.
I take a vitamin supplement every day. I don't think I really need it, yet I pop that pill every morning along with calcium.

I take a vitamin supplement every day. I don't think I really need it, yet I pop that pill every morning along with calcium. I was reading a lot about suppliments. You really have to watch what you're taking especially if you're like me and have to take medications with them and such. Calcium is a MUST For females because it can cut sugar cravings and it helps them maintain their weight. I forgot to take my calcium for 3 days and at the end of it I almost ate like half a cake not even realizing what I was doing. It really does make a difference. You have to do a "test" to make sure a suppliment is good. The one they recommend for calcium is the "vinegar" test. Stick the pill in a glass of vinegar and if it doesn't completey dissolve in 30-60 seconds its not very good. Spring Valley natural calcium is cheap as dirt and you can find that at walmart. It dissolvers rather fast. I had some gag reflex problems with it at first because it started to break down before I could swallow it. I just broke it in half to make it easier. They are "snap" pills and break apart really easy. From what I read you should take 2 tablets at seperate times a day (morning and early afternoon) with food so that your body uses it and doesn't just excrete it.
