The other day, while discussing with my past music teacher about things and life, she talked about her and her husband got DDR, thanks to my introduction(I should seriously get paid for the work I do for Konami and BuynShop). Anyway, she said that her husband used weights on DDR, like, small 5 pounders in each arm and lifted doing Beginner songs. I thought "Whoa, not a bad idea..."
That night, I got my two fifteen pound weights, one in each arm, and hit up my 1000CBO(One Thousand Calorie Burn Off, I do it every night or so). Holy DIVER, it's some CRAZY STUFF. It's like... Training Super Saiyan style.
I was seating so bloody much, and I did these songs with those weights: End of the Century, Twilight Zone, Tsugaru, Afronova, Burning Heat, So Deep, all Maniac, all with the weights. GAAAH, it was rad.
It works out the arms, the upper back, and the wrists.
Give it a shot, write back with your experience, if you do it. =P

I think it sounds like a good idea. You can get muscles in your arms while playing DDR ;D

15lbs seems a little excessive to start with (of course, so does the 1K CBO course). But even just a few pounds, even a can of soup in each hand, can add up.
