So I should introduce myself. My name is Leah and I have played DDR off an on for the last two years. When I first started playing I lost some amount of weight, thought that wasn't entirely my goal at the time, I was pretty happy about it. I was somewhere around 175. Well, I just realized a little over a week ago that I was up to 195 eep! I want to work to at least get back to 175, and potentially lose more weight after that. I would look fantastic around 150. Here's a picture of me currently:
Here's how I looked around 175:
So I know it can be done. Here's my current plan, any ideas or advice would be appreciated.
Play extreme at 6 nights a week for at least 30 minutes (I've been averaging about an hour a night.) I've been playing in standard mode non-stop and then in regular game mode to beat records at standard and hard levels. I've been playing some of the non-stop challenge modes too.
I'm trying to be careful not to drink too much (I like beer lots), and just have one or two guinness but not too often. I try to not eat tons of simple carbs and am eating three light meals a day. I eat a lot of vegetarian Indian food, frozen vegetarian lunch entrees, and so on. I have diet soda every once in a while, though I have heard it can be rough on diets, in my experience caffeine boots my metabolism a bit more than no caffeine. I drink a lot of water.
My job is very sedentary. I do at least sit on a fitness ball to help strengthen my back, but that's about it. I also end up doing a lot of work on my house, etc.
Well, that's about it.
