I have my own ideas as to what it will be. I'm waiting to see if I am even remotely right.
As far as nintendo goes... don't forget that we aren't the only country in the world.

Okay, so anyway...
Nintendo lately has been losing its focus and power... not that they don't still have their fanboys.
However, as someone said earlier in the thread Japan still sees Nintendo as a great thing. Some of the games that don't make it overseas are big hits over there, and to be quite frank, most of the Japanese population couldn't care much less about the Xbox.
This new Nintendo system will be a true test of if Nintendo can run with the big boys or not, and I think that they're going to have to start realizing they cannot depend on Mario, Zelda [Link,] and Samus to do all the work for them.
And Mike, it's kind of irritating when someone flaunts something in front of you, so please don't. It gets people annoyed. Just a thought.

Or at least if he's right, it'll mean the end for Nintendo. Remember that the controls must be suitable for *all* kinds of games, from rpg, to sports, to fighting games, to racing games. And it must feel familiar to players, or they won't accept it and will shy away from the system. It also must be completely accurate, and the motion sensor systems today aren't accurate enough to pull it off.

Microsoft is trying to get fans overseas...I found out that Square Enix is making a Final Fantasy game exclusively for the Xbox 360...but I doubt that will be enough to win the hearts of the japanese people.
