I'm a college male, about 225 pounds at 5'9". I've got three months here, and from what I read online, 167 is supposed to be around the maximum healthy weight for my height and build. That's a bit much, especially in this time period, but my goal is to get around 180 (hopefully closer to 170). That also might not be all that healthy (dropping 45-55 pounds in 3 months), but this is a goal, not a specific number that absolutely must be attained by the end of summer.
I was wondering, what advice you can give as far diet and whatnot to help in this. Currently I play DDR almost everyday, burning about 600-700 calories a day (given the weight mentioned above (actually, i think it was 224 then, but that's besides the point)). I play it that much just simply, because I'm a gamer, gotta play my games when I'm back home, away from my girlfriend (we play DDR quite a bit at college too, hee hee).
Nonetheless, I can play 5's, usually 6's, 7's are iffy, and 8's are only once in a while (depending on song and BPM). I also drink quite a bit of water while playing, as I've seen been recomended countless times. I'm asking because I tried myself doing that, and taking rather little thought into diet (first week home from school, and now that I don't have to pay for food, heh, had to splurge a little bit). But yeah, tried that, burned about 5000 or so in the week, and actually gained 1 pound, according to the scale (done around same time of day).
So yeah, want a bit of help here, especially in the diet area. (and yes, I'm doing this to hopefully give some surprise to my girlfriend when we return to college).
