Forget diet pills, they are a waste of money. If you want something that will help pill-wise, get an herbal antioxidant like green tea extract.
You shouldn't try to burn off everything you eat for a few reasons:
1. You'll tire yourself out, and it will probably be too much for you to handle. You'll probably be discouraged because of this.
2. You need the calories to burn doing every day things, even if it is just sitting at the computer for most of the day.
Just don't over do it.

If you burn off everything you eat wouldn't your body just resort to using your stored fats and such for energy?..

If you want to go by that philosophy, try not eating for 2 weeks. If you survive, then I'll revoke what I said.
Seriously though, you really don't want to overdo it. You need to give your body time to adjust. I started doing 1000 calories every day right off the bat (I weight 192), and now after my 5th day, my left ankle is sore and I think I strained a muscle in my right foot. I'll need to slow down for awhile, then pick it up as my stamina increases.

To fetch the calories from the fat deposits in the body is a time consuming busines. Roughly the limit for how much energy the body can manage to gather from the fat deposits equals around 100 grams of fat ever day. This mean that if you loose weight faster than 100 grams a day you are not only loosing fat, but also mussels. And you don't want to losse your mussels.

You did not put on whatever excess weight you have in 3 months, so please don't try to take it all off in that amount of time. This is not meant to discourage you, but to help you find a reasonable goal that will keep you motivated!! You might want to try a calculator like www.fitday.com to find out how many calories you're actually consuming on an average day and try to trim that down to a recommended amount. Dancing should certainly be a good form of exercise to add to the reduced calories to help you lose weight faster. And if you read nothing else, know that shifting to too few calories -- like 1000 -- can actually slow your metabolism down and cause your body to try to store fat to help you survive instead of lose weight! You might even check into something like www.ediets.com to help recommend something that can get you started. Good luck!! ;D

What if you did put on the excess weight in a matter of 3 to 4 months? I put on about 30 lbs in about 3 1/2 months. It's just general advice. If someone who says they have been obese all their life wants to lose weight faster than is possible/safe, it helps to remember that you didn't gain weight overnight and you can't expect to lose it that way. If you have gained 30 lbs in 3 months, you will probably be able to lose it faster than someone who has gradually gained over several years, but it's always much harder to take it off than it is to put it on. The main point is: don't set yourself up for disappointment by making a goal to lose a lot of weight in a short amount of time. No matter what diet pills promise you, there is no healthy way to do that and it will be mostly water weight. If you plan to lose 10 lbs in a week, expect to gain it all back unless you can stick to whatever you did to lose it that fast consistently for the rest of your life.

Actually, I'm not as concerned with weight lost as I am concerned with toning my body and living healthier through exercise. I've lost about 6lbs since I started DDR (mid-April). I don't take diet pills and I'm not a big dieter. I weighed 100lbs a year and a half ago and now I weigh 125lbs. I don't think I wanna go back to 100 (I was a stick figure), but I definately want to lose some of this chub I have.

Here's my advice. I'm no nutritionist or anything, but i know a few things.
If you want to burn those pounds doing DDR, would suggest playing DDR in a way that is more geared towards burning fat. This means don't push the difficulty to a crazy level...just pus hit to a level that gets your heart rate up, then prolong this pace for an extended period of time. A more rigourous workout may tone your muscles and be good cardio...but are not as good for burning fat.
Drink water. Drink water all the time. Carry a bottle with you wherever you go. You can't drink enough water. If you constantly have to go the bathroom all the time...that's a good start...well maybe not but seriously drink a lot. Its amazing how many problems come from lack of water.
Be patient. Like others say...ti took years to put on. It may take a long time to get it off. If you go too fast, you may find yourself rubber banding up and down the scale which can be dangerous for your health.
