Hello, I'm new to the world of DDR and I wanted to do so for health and fun.
I'm 325 and wanted to find out how much time should I spend playing and how long so that I wouldn't be gasping for air and collapsing.
Please help, I would appreciate it.

I found that it took a meager 2 weeks before I really saw a major difference in my stamina.
I could only play for 10 minutes in those first few weeks... now I play for 30-45 minutes and I could keep going, I just need more time...lol
My highest I was 299 and I am now sitting near and around 269. So go me...lol
Anyways, spend some time reading some of the excellent advice posted around here...
And keep dancing ;D

Take it easy at first. Learn how to take your pulse, and every couple of songs check to make sure you aren't getting too high above your target range. The target range is 50-80% of your maximum, and you maximum os 220-your age. The longer you can keep your pulse in your target range, the better but aim for at least 30-45 minutes/day.
