How much weight do you have to lose before you can tell a difference visually? Also, is there any way to tone pectoral muscles with DDR?

I've lost around 30+ and I can't tell that much of a difference.. but I think it depends on your weight before you lost. and I doubt there is a way to tone the pecks unless you're lifting weights while playing =P

It really varies from person to person. Some people lose 5 pounds and it looks amazing. Others lose 30 and you can hardly tell. Take me, for example, when I begin lifting weights, there is an immediate noticible difference, even though the scale doesn't move.
It's important to remember that weight is not the end-all judge of how you look. Body Fat percentage plays a big role, as well. If I lose 3 pounds of fat but gain 5 pounds of muscle, I'm going to gain weight on the scale, but I'll look a lot better.
As far as toning your pecs goes, DDR isn't going to help with that much. You can lose body fat, which will help definition in all of your miscles, but you aren't working your pecs. Unless, as was already noted, you're doing something else with your arms while playing. I'd recommend doing push-ups to supplement your workouts. Push ups are one of the single most effective exercises. Depending on the positioning of your hands you can really work your Pecs, Triceps, and Lats. Try doing the following with your DDRing.
Before you start: Stretch out your whole body to keep things limber and warm up your muscles a little bit. Maybe play one to two easy songs to get the blood flowing.
Push-ups 1: 7-7-7, Do 7 push-ups (slowly, each push up should take 2-3 seconds) with your arms about 6-12 inches wider than normal. You'll feel it pull more in your Lats (back side of armpits) and your Pecs (chest). Then do 7 push-ups with your hands directly under your shoulders. This will really isolate and work your Triceps (back of arm). Finally, finish it off with 7 normal push-ups.
Do your DDR workout (30-45 minutes), cool off, and when you're done:
Push-ups 2: Wide-Tri-Die. 7 push ups with hands wide, as before, 7 with hands under your shoulders, and then do as many regular push ups as you possibly can (hence, Die). Finish off your workout by stretching.
