My future in-laws came to visit from Germany and are staying at our apartment for the next 2 weeks. Very small 1 br. apt. so I have no privacy. I can't play DDR until they're gone because they're always home and I can't just ask them to all cram into the bedroom while I play or anything!! Yeah, I know I could do other exercises, but the same applies to my exercise videos too, and it is absolutely impossible for me to run. I run for like 45 seconds then it's just really painful. Also, they just got here Friday night, and we've already gone out to restaurants 3 TIMES. And tonight we have to go out too because it's my fiance's brother's birthday. But after that, I'm telling my fiance that I'm not going out to eat anymore. They should understand right? Is that too rude? Even he's saying that he's tired of going out to restaurants and wants to go back to having salads everday for dinner like normal.

Walking in hilly terrain can be just as good exercise as running actually. Just depends on how fast you walk.
But I suppose finding a mountain to walk up is maybe not as easy for everyone as it is for me that live in Norway. But maybe there are stairs that you can walk? Stair walking is very good exercise too. Everything that gets your heart beat up is good basically :-) But I think most people underestimate how good an exercise walking can be. That is if you walk fast enough. How you can measure "fast enough" is that you should be able to speak, but not one whole sentence without having to take a breath.
Going out eating that much sure sounds awfull. But maybe it is possible to just order a salad at the restaurant?
