Hi everyone I'm new. I was wondering what the best DDR pad for PS2 would be to get. I was reading the reccomendations on this site, but it seems kind of obvious which company they favor. Does anyone else have any suggestions? I have played this game on different pads, not knowing which was which, and I find I like the cloth ones over the metal ones. I still play on beginner, so I don't think that I will worry about deterioration in the near future, but I'm still looking for the best responsive pad. Umm...oh yeah, and I'm not really into spending $100 on a single pad lol. Thanks!

Well because you're new at it I would recommend a soft mat. Anyone would pretty much due but if you want you can actually ask the local video game store people to open it so you can get the feel of it. That's what I used to do at least, before I got my hard mat..... But yeah for you I'm pretty sure a soft mat would due just fine. They're pretty good responsive wise and if they move around a bit tape em' to the floor or to a wooden board like my one is. ^_^
Hoped that helped o.O...

I got a knock-off ignition pad from vortz game on Ebay. I got it in like March and it's worked great so far.
