Yeah ok... So I was playing DDR workout wise first time in a long time... I was playing for about 45 minutes and took a break and sat down for about 5 minutes... Next thing I remember I woak up on the floor with a pounding headache (cut my head) and blood on the floor. lol Nothing big, just a lil scratch... but what did I do wrong? I ate before and drank plenty of water... Was I just over doing it because I'm not used to playing for long periods of time now?
Kinda scary... but I'm ok! ^_^ My bandaids on my boo boo so I'm fine.

Yikes cowman, I think you probably need to try to regulate your heartbeat a bit more. I weigh about 230-240 and when I havent played in a while my heart starts to pound bad, so I basically do an intense song until I am exhausting myself, then kind of walk around the room for a bit to lower my heart rate a little, then do a less intense song. This is just to get yourself back into things and not over do it. In comparison I like to do "Stomp to my beat" on normal (6 feet) and it drains me bad, then Ill switch to some 3-4 footers. Maybe this will help?

PS, stoping cold turkey after a hard workout is bad, you need to cool down a bit.

Any chance you could be getting sick (cold, flu)? That may cause you to pass out.

Yeah, I would sometimes start to feel my heartbeat in my head and would have to do easier songs to slow down my heartrate to get it to stop. It had gotten so bad that I almost passed out, but once I knew that it had to do with my heart going crazy fast, I learned how to avoid it. ;D

Advice: Don't sit down immediately after strenuous activity!
Here's why: When you're working out, the capillaries in your legs dilate to allow more blood to flow through at the increased rate. If you stop exercising cold, your heart rate slows, and your blood pressure drops much faster than your capillaries contract. The end result is that the blood in your body pools in your legs, leaving your head empty. No bood to brain = No oxygen to brain = passing out.
So after you hit those 8-10 foot songs and want to take a break, just walk in place a bit. You don't have to move much, but you definitely want to keep moving.

i found the best way to have a DDR workout session without freaking your body out is to start out with like 2-3 lower impact songs (3 steppers usually) then keep slowly going up difficulty for a while til you hit about where you can't go any higher then start going back down a bit til you get to those 3 steppers again til your done...
that way you are slowly heating up then also slowly cooling down... that is the best way to not overwork your heart... and yes keep that water bottle in reach and I always tend to strecth before and after play...
