Hey all. I started playing DDR about 4 months ago. I started playing just for fun, not knowing I was overweight or whatever.
I'm male, was 5'10, and weighed 185 pounds.
I thought it looked cool, and a few of my friend played, so I started. I was passing light songs in no time (on 8th Mix).
2 months later (-_-") I moved on to standard.
One day, after school, I had a doctor's appointment, and I was mad about not going to play DDR. ;/
Anyway, the doctor told me I was in the 95% weight percentile...and that's after 2 months of DDR.
That's when I realized it was time for a change.
I decided to actually make a work out program, that involved the cardio training of DDR, and a light weight training thing that I janked off some infomercial (and some info I got online).
Well, I decided to schedule it like the following:
Monday: 30 Pushups 50 Situps Random Weight Lifting Excersises with really light weights. (15 pounds).
Tuesday: DDR as long as time permitted.
Usually songs like (Sexy Planet Oni Mode, Candy (Star) Standard, Love (heart) Shine, A (Standard), Dam Daridam (Standard), Max 300 (Light)).
Then I'd play a few nonstop selections like Pop 4 and Players Choice 1-4.
Wednesday: Same as Monday
Thursday: Same as Monday
Friday-Sunday: Same as Tuesday
This schedule would change sometimes depending on my schedule and if I had time to hit the mall or not.
For the past two months I've been doing that...and I've lost about 25-30 pounds.
I'm also on heavy now.
