Wow guys! I mean wow! I just found this forum after doing some research on Stepmania and Weight-Loss. I just finished setting up my DDR pad on my laptop thats hooked into my TV today. Lemme just say that I'm super suprised that there is a community out there that combines to the biggest things in my life, trying to loose weight and playing DDR. Little background on me. I'm 20 (turning 21 in June) and weigh about 210lbs at 5' 8". My weight has gone up pretty steadily from 175 in grade 9 but has plateued over the past year. I'm pretty much convinced that my metabolism is naturally strong since I eat a lot of crap, no good stuff at all (I consider myself a meatetarian) and don't seem to gain any weight. I haven't been active for about 8 months but am planning on getting back on my bike this summer, I used to do a 100km ride once a month and about 3 10km rides a week. Me and my girlfriend have both decided that its time to put away all the weight and get healthy (strongly influenced by the fact that we are going to Florida in 4 weeks). I've sworn away all forms of fast food (also cause I'm broke) and now I plan on getting on a heavy DDR exercise program. Does anyone have any custom Stepmania or DWI songs designed for constant movement (like a nice 10min aerobic track) they can recommend? Anyways, its great to know you guys are out there, afflicted in the same way I am and I really hope that I'll be able to support you the way I'm sure you'll support me.

About the fast food thing. I actually stopped eating it because of money first and later I thought "HEY! Thats a good thing to use for my diet thing too. No fast food" lol

Well, I got so excited at finding this board that I went downstairs and did a quick 20min workout using Stepmanias Endless mode. I would have kept going for my calves were starting to hurt really bad after maybe 8 songs. I'm kind of suprised since they haven't felt like that since back in august and I beat Max300 on light for the first time. Oh well, I geuss it's all part of the process

Thats what is nice about DDR, you get rewarded for trying hard to better yourself, both visually and physically.

I did not even know what a AA was until I got it and then realized you got graded (did not read the book). I am also very glad that I found this place and love the support that everyone gives. ;D
*I am now reading the book and finding out all new things about it... did not know you can add songs though! LMAO
