I know how this site really focuses on losing pounds as its main source for advertisement. I hope people who are obese use this method of weight loss along with a proper diet to help shed their love handles.
For my personal goal though, it isn't to drop 1 pound, but to drop my body fat percentage to 8% and be able to finally have a six pack like I've always wanted.
Right now, my percentage is at 14%-15%. I let myself get out of shape. My weight is optimum at 225lbs (by the way, I'm 6'5") and I'm hoping within a year to have a body I've always wanted.
For the next 12 weeks, I'm going to follow a strict diet plan 6 days of it, along with weight training 3-4 times a week. I'll run 3 times a week as well, and of course play DDR whenever I have the time.
From doing a lot of research, I've come to realise that the goal I'm striving for is going to take a year, or even more. My 12 week goal is to see a physical difference in my appearance.
I believe DDR has been helping me lose my fat percentages faster than if I just weight trained and ran for 20 minutes. A buddy at my work weight trains 6 times a week, and does elliptical machines for 40 minutes. He's done this routine for 3 months. While his arms are getting bigger and more defined, his chest still looks tired and flabby. I think this is due to his diet, because he doesn't watch what he eats. I believe I can surpass him because I do watch my intake, and work out twice as much as he does with cardio.
There's a lot I don't know about dieting, exercise and physical fitness. I've done my research and have been in shape at one time. I'm hoping to surpass my expectations I have set here, and in 3 months, write another story about my accomplishments
