March Break is 2 weeks away. My husband is busy at work. My kids will be in camp. I'm left alone with DDR.
Yeeeeeah.
To play 4 hours at arcade, you'll need:
1) Water bottles 2) Super absorbent napkins[way better than towels] 3) Stretchable gym wear 4) Cash 5) Do remember wearing sneakers
Wow, I'll send in a lot of hours in March.

I did DDR in heels before. It was pretty loud and uncomfortable.

:[ I saw someone do that once and I wanted to cry. I cringe when I see someone damaging an arcade pad. Some ho bag put her heel through one of our machines once.
Anyways..... 4 hours will most likely run you about $10.00....maybe $15. I played for 2 hours yesterday on $5 but then again I did marathon mode several times.

I can't play ddr on heels. I just drove back home for sneakers and felt like a complete idiot.
I believe a heavy player did the most of damage to the local DDR machine. He plays with his whole feet, and stomps very, very hard. I can hear him at the door of cinema, a good 20 meters away. Then the machine was out of order. Now I don't see him any more. Probably he's done all the songs.
I started a low calorie diet last week, lost 2 pounds and stamina to play DDR. I have to sit down between songs, to restore my crazy heart beats to normal and rest my sore legs. Before diet, I usually spent 6-7 dollars. Last time I was there, took only 3 dollars to wear me out. Things will be worse in March break. With a lot of kids in arcade, there'll be a line for DDR machine. I don't think I can take the full 90 seconds rest in between. They'll throw me out.
No matter what, I still want to stay there for 4 hours.

I've had my DDR week, but it didn't turn out as planed.
After 2 hours playing in Monday morning, my legs were shaky and I saw 'stars' after I got up. So I had a long lunch break. Then watched a guy got A+ on a 13-footer, a soft-looking teen girl finished a 11-footer without breaking a sweat, and her sister, a 7-year-old, did a 10-footer! Her mother said she started playing since last summer, when she was six. Geez, you have no idea what kids can do these days.
I did more shopping on Tuesday and a bit DDR in between. I learned using 'bar' that day.
With my new 'bar' technique and 4 bottles of Gatorade, I did 5 hours on Wednesday. I finished all 8-footer songs in ITG2 and a few 9-footers.
Bed-rest on Thursday.
Normal activities resumed on Friday.
OK, schedule a week to do DDR is a bad idea, because nobody can do strenuous exercise 5 days straight, at least not me.
The best thing is I've found my new idol: the 7-year-old girl who did 10-footer, without holding bar, without sweating, panting and any sign of physical exertion. I don't know how long it'll take me. Someday, I'll do 10-footer without bar.

Don't be too hard on yourself. You could probably have done that when you were 10 years old too. That is what I like about DDR - you can do it at any level. When you feel too winded or like you can't breathe, you can just go back to Basic if you want and more or less walk through some songs.
Very low-calorie diets will wear you out really quick!

dont let anyone else being better than yourself bother you, younger people are usually able to move better than older people, but i cant even do a 10 footer with the bar.

dont let anyone else being better than yourself bother you, younger people are usually able to move better than older people, but i cant even do a 10 footer with the bar. I can't either. I just started passing 8-footer last month, at home and with bar at arcade. And I've never seen anybody did MAX300 without bar. I was motivated because the little girl played 10-footer like a breeze. She was actually practicing 11 when her sister was playing. Well, considering I'm 5 times of her age, I should be happy with what I'm capable of doing now. To DDRmom: Thank you for your concern. You know it's hard to find time of your own when you have a job and a family. I only get a few days twice a year: march break and summer holiday. So I do crazy things to celebrate. But exhausting myself to bed rest is not my idea of having fun. Hopefully, my stamina will improve before summer holiday comes.
