Christmas is tomorrow and as soon as that is over and out of the way, we will have New Years to look forward to . This is the spot for everybody to post New Years Resolutions of all types. Obviously some will be about weight loss and getting healthier/in-shape, but they do not have to be about weight loss; they can be about anything. Let the resolutions begin .

I am absolutely determined to get really good grades this coming semester... SO..
My only two resolutions are to salvage my GPA and improve my relationships with everybody. I refuse to let weight loss be just another new years resolution because that seems to always condemn it to failure... Plus, I've already started, so it doesn't need to be a new years resolution. It's just something that is going to keep happening, so ha. =)

I hear you on the marks thing. I'd like a 3.0 GPA, may not be possible after my C's in political science, but I can try.

Well, my resolutions ( so far :-P ) are as follows.
Learn how to drive well enough that I can pass the driver's test on June 28th and finally get my driver's licence.
Play more DDR and exercise some more, generally just make it a regular thing which I do almost every day.
Eat lots less junk food and have less deadlocked weeks where I lose motivation
Fit into my old jeans by my birthday on February 26th. I've decided that once I do that, I'll post a picture thread here on the website because I'll have before and after pics then ^_^.
Drink more water on a daily basis, even when I go back to school and can't constantly drink it all day.
Get to the point where I'm no longer obese by the end of this year ( but hopefully sooner ^_^ ). Obese for me is, I think, anything over about 168 pounds.
I'm sure I'll have more to add to this list later, but for now that's all that I can think of.
Edit: I Knew I'd think of something to add lol.
Keep up with my grades in school and make superior honor roll this year. I'm not sure that this one is so attainable as the others, but I'm going to give it a run for its money.

First, my accomplishments for 2005, as I think it's important to see how far you've come in the past year:
-My wife and I conceived a child -We re-landscaped our yard ourselves -I finally sought help for my depression, and have achieved great personal growth, including conquering my fear of heights
My goals for 2006:
-Cook dinner at home more often -Prepare the house for the new baby -Get rid of some of the clutter that's been accumulating in the crawlspace, and generally simplify my life -Maintain the personal growth I've achieved, and solidify my gains

I'm not doing resolutions this year, so much as I'm going to start a good behavior or halt a poor one each month.
Some of the things on the list: -Get myself into a art program at a local school. I've enjoyed drawing for awhile now and I'd like to see how far I can go with it. -Exercise consistently, this extends to both DDR and using the exercise room in my apartment community. -Learn to cook -Continue on my path to better nutrition. This past year I've started eating some things I decided years ago I hated and those bias continued into my adult life. I'm working to overcome these hurdles. -Stop paying for stuff with credit. Fortunatly I have a raise coming up and I should have around $3000 in march to pay off a nice chunk of debt (and get myself something fun as well :-p)

Sounds like everyone has good resolutions ^-^
Mine is to stay closer to my plan on eating healthy. I've been slacking so much lately. And my other goal is to become more fit through DDR and possibly pilates(and actually stick to the excercising) And my last goal is to hopefully get into gymnastics, I've always wanted to do gymnastics!

I've gotten down to 190 and stayed there no problem, but now after a month-2month of not much DDR if any and lots of pop yet staying at 190, NO MORE POP and DDR every night again hopefully to start metabolism again. My diet hasnt been laden with much bad except for lots of pop besides the occasional sweet which won;t harm me much at my age and state. I want to go for 175 now

Goals for 2006:
Since I kind of screwed up after I came back to college in the fall, and let DDR exit my life, I decided to bring it back in. I'm going to try and shoot for three days a week at 45 min- 1 hour each time.
Get my weight from the horrendous 260 I have let myself balloon to, to a more portly and comfortable 200 solid.
Get my bills back in order. I let myself sink into a near 4000 dollar credit card debt, and I fell behind on my bills.
Get help for what I think may be depression, which is what I am finally doing.
