As long as they've fixed the "flying disc of doom" problem with these, they'll do all right.
For those who don't know, with the original Japanese model, you could twist it just so, and the disc would come flying out the top of the unit like something out of a bad Dolph Lundgren movie (I Come in Peace).

i was going to get a PSP when i realized a couple of things
- It's not functional as a good mp3/video player. For it to be able to do those things you need a gig stick and thats 120 dollars, so
250 + 120 = 370 for video and mp3 capabilities
A portable dvd player cost 150, and a zen nomad with 20 gigs cost 200. Now thats 320 and i'd say much better.
-If you want it for gaming
For most people, what they look for in a portable is battery life and loading times. Psp doesnt have either of those things. Also the games are quite expensive. 40-50 dollars for portable games? You need 2 games AT LEAST in the beginning so
250 + 100 = 350
Is it just me or does a ps2 for 150 and several games sound much better. Note, i don't like the DS either and im not for or against either. I think that the PSP has big flaws and people should be aware. Thank you.
