The pad sucks. The only good pads out there (metal, that is) are cobalt flux, blue sharks, and built pads. These are generally known to last a really long time. The pad at ddrgame will last you a few months at best. Plus, the 4 screw design is not at all good. I ended up taking the screws off my pad, which is pretty much the same type as yours, and now play with socks since shoes screw up this pad a lot (assuming you play on heavy/expert). My advice is to save up and get a cobalt flux.

I'll also throw the Afterburner into the mix. You're looking at the same price anyway. The ddrgame.com pad advertising copy just reads like a lot of the miserable eBay pads.

He's saying that the afterburner is also a good metal pad to consider.

I've actually heard that the afterburner is only good for a month or so. From what i've heard from other players, the arrows shatter easily and the pad could also break after a few months. On the other hand, I've heard that they are good and even though the arrows crack, they still work well. So my guess is that this pad is a hit or miss. You could also look at mymybox.com though and see what you find.

well looking at the mymybox ones, i would much rather get one of them with a handle bar rather then an afterburner, but they all seem to be incompatible with PC....
are there converters i could get and would it work with stepmania...?
