hey everyone, I have my usb adapter finally and it seems to work fine, I can hook up my PS2 controlers to it and play games on emulators and it works to control stepmania but it wont accept any input from my dance mats! I dont know what to do. any sudgestions?

Only in stepmania, or also in the game controllers control panel app?

I cant get the dance pads to work with any program so far, my PS2 controlers work with everything I have tried. I have the drivers installed for the adapter but I cant seem to get any reaction even in the game controllers in control panel, it seems like there is no controler hooked up at all.
EDIT: the place I baught it from said right in the add that it works with dance pads so I didnt think I would have this problem, it should be compatable as far as I know.

What is the actual make and model of the usb adaptor? Have you checked it against the reviewed ones at stepmania.com?

Try holding start + select + up arrow for 3 secs. This puts the pad into dance mode. If doesn't work, then your pad and adapter might not be compatible. Tell me what pad and adapter you have.
