stepmania is randomly freezing in the middle of songs on 1 of my computers and doesn't on the other, any suggestions?

corrupt file? Did you try reinstalling?

Is it on the "lesser" of the two computers?
Another process running/taking up your system resources? Drive speed issue (not getting the file loaded/streamed fast enough?

yes it is, but it is a clean format with win98 and all that is runing is explorer and system tray. i dont think it is because it loads the files pretty fast and there is no lag when playing

What's the specs on the system? Probably can't handle Stepmania, I had the same problem with one of my older systems. Try running DWI on it instead.

500mhz amd k7, 512 ram and a 16mb voodoo 3 with omega drivers

Yeah, that system (particularly the vid card) won't handle Stepmania well. Use DWI.

ok i tried throwing in a Creative Labs 3D Blaster Banshee and it seems to work fine exept it wont do transparencies, they are either back or white they aren't clear, any suggestions on this?

referring more to the vid card compatibility chart i have an ati Rage Pro and i am experiencing the terrible performance and i was wondering where to download the "Not WHQL Certified" drivers

got new drivers for my Creative Labs 3D Blaster Banshee and it works perfectly
