I have never had Stepmania working properly since I installed it. The problem is that the arrows stop momentarily and then go again, so it doesn't really keep up with the beat of the music. This results in bad grades on the songs, especially ones with a lot of jumps or ones that have a lot of arrows. I was wondering if it could be my graphics card. I have a nVidia GeForce 2 mx 100/200 with 32 mb video ram. My computer is a Pentium 4 1.5 ghz with 256 mb ram. I looked on the stepmania website and I meet the minimum requirements for the program. I can get all A's on standard and many A's on heavy on my playstation, and not on the stepmania program. What could my problem be?

Turn as may graphics options off as you can in the menu and see if that helps. Update your video card drivers. Alternatively, if your simfiles are DWIs, give Dance with Intensity a shot, it's not as pretty, but it runs better on older hardware.
