Ok... I just started to get really big into IIDX. I need 3 things.
One! I need a site thats in english... People always give me these versions that are in Japanese... and I have no idea what there talking about
B! I need to know a site that has songs I can download if it's something like stepmania
and
3! Is there something I can download that changed stepmania into an IIDX thingy?
HELP!

www.ddruk.com, savageddr.com, ddrei.com. Those are good places to get IIDX songs, all in english, however sometimes programs like DWI or STEPMANIA cannot decipher certain KANJI text so you will see japanese whether you like it or not. There are "skins" that you can DL that will give Stepmania the appearance of IIDX, but in reallity stepmania emulates ALL of the DDR, parapara,bemani arcade machines. hope this helps?

from main menu choose select game, there are three options, dance (DDR) Pump (pump it up) and Para (para-para?). there also many different courses and challenge modes for stepmania. Also keep in mind that stepmania (except for the ancient 3.0 version) is still a work in progress, they are constantly adding things to it, alowing it to emulate other bemani games, so every time a new beta release is out you will prob see new things show up.

Today on www.stepmania.com they relased a new version, go DL it it has some improvements, and the added para-para-paradise mode. beatmania requires the controller of course, and you are right, I double checked i got confused, Yes stepmania plays IIDX songs, and you can get IIDX songs, but it does not actually work as a beatmania IIDX simulator, but give it some time, like I said they are still working on new betas. |

I have a IIDX simulator, it's called bm98. Google up the "Drink Version" or whatever they call it, that's the one with 7-key support.
Good luck finding songs though. I can't. All I have are the ones BemaniStyle had up for New Years, and they're 20MB or so each.

off topic much? anyway, i have been looking for IIDX songs for a while now, i dont think that there is a US release of it, but it looks like a fun game to try. does anyone know of a US console release of this game? |

Don't really mean to bring up a dead topic but this part of the forums seems to be dead anyway so no harm.
IIDX support will likely not be added to Stepmania any time soon. The guy that is supposed to be implementing that has not done any work on it in a while. Keysound support is lacking, therefore Keyboardmania, GuitarFreaks, drummania, IIDX, 5key, BM3, and Popn will not be correctly supported until this is done.
If you want to help us out and you know C++ (judging by what I've seen on this forum, none of you probably do) just let me know and I'll get you the information you need.
