xbox 360 ....and MTV...

Well, MTV had a half hour special on the new xbox360....which looks basicly like a giant hard drive. But.... MTV made the whole half hour suck...as is the way of MTV. I had to sit through west coast customs crap, two band performances, and god knows how many commercials......all to see maybe 3 min. of actual CONTENT. I got to see .5 seconds of quake 4 which makes me very very happy, but for a half hour of my wasted life....which is sad.

Anyone have thoughts on the xbox 360? The graphics looked sweet, of course.... though I am weary and leary of the new wireless format.... this means that everyone will HAVE to go out and buy new controllers which I think really sucks. AND, if you can even play DDR on it you would need a wireless pad, and I hear those are very problamatic......

From what I've read, the controllers are wireless by default, but have a wired option (there's a port on the controller that will let you wire the controller to the console). I also hear they have a recharge dock option coming (much like wireless Logitech mice are today) to allow for recharging between sessions.

Overall it's an interesting system, and it looks poised to close if not overcome the gap with the Playstation (at least in the US). But we won't truly know the full graphics capability until the system has been out for two years or so.


I won't get one at launch, but I will probably use the resulting Xbox price drop to pick one of those up so I can play UM1&2.

MTV ruins everything...hence why I call it Moronic Television...but yeah, yesterday I bought an Xbox...and bought Xbox-Live...so as soon as Cobalt Flux decides to put out an Xbox adapter...I am not buying DDR till then.

But if anyone plays Halo 2 my gamertag is OtepVeeshan (EQ name and old server...if anyone is gonna ask).
