I have Ultramix 1 for my xbox. It came with one pad. i played on it for a while, but now the back step button doesnt seem to work. it works prolly 1 in 10 times. talk about a combo killer. does any one have any ideas how to fix it? I was also looking into buying a new pad. I want one that is kinda thick so this doesnt happen again. any suggestions? i like the ignition series or the ones with the foam/rubber insert. i want 2 pads for about $50.

I'm going to assume it came with a soft pad. Chances are, you're better off just buying a new one. I suppose there's ways to fix the old one if need be, but for the expense and time it's worth you're better off just buying a new pad. If you want to buy two pads for $50, you're only going to be able to get the cheap knockoffs that'll only last you a few months, at the most, with playing every day. I've been DDRing for about 3 months (playing every day) and in that time I've gone through 2 soft dance pads *grumbles*

yep... that's how it is... though I found out that if you kill an ignition soft pad and throw a cheap pad on top with some carpet tape *I know I'm cheap* that the pad works for a really long time and is comfortable.

Well, if you're looking to spend around $50, you can get the DX-Extreme from www.buynshop.com for $58 or so (my pad, I love it, so I may be a bit biased towards it ;D ) . And www.levelsix.com has an ignition-type pad for around $40, If you want to spend more you can always buy the red-octane ignition for about $100, Any more than that and you're looking at metal pads, which I don't have much knowledge about except that cobalt flux pads are apparently the best of the best for metal pads.
