Hey, what's going on. I just got DDR Festival, and DDR extreme (import) for PS2. The thing is...when I try to start the game it loads...but then I come to a screen with Japanese writing asking me something and I can't start the game. I have a memory card in and the DDR controller, but I can't figure out which options to go to to get the game started....I've tried multiple combinations.
Can someone please tell me how I can get the game started?

What you're seeing is the "No game file found on your memory card, would you like to create one?" message, followed by the "autosave" message. For both selections choose the option that has two characters (Hai -> "ha"+"i" -> yes) and press circle. The other option has three characters (Iie -> "i"+"i"="e"-> No).
Remeber that the Japanese PS2 games have a different convention that the American ones. For the US, X is accept and Triangle is Back. For Japanese games, O is accept and X is back.
Foprtunately for you the main Menus in Japanese Extreme are in English, but you'll still need to fumble your way through the options menu if you want to change anything there. Festival, on the other hand, has everything in kana, which is a little harder to follow. Just remember that the top main menu option is game mode. If you have US Extreme, the menu is in the same order on Festival.
