I wish the Xboxes weren't region coded. I would have bought both versions and all the Japanese versions, even if the songs were the same. Don't they know they are losing tons of money by region coding things?

Unfortunately, I think Region coding is here to stay, thanks to our friends at the MPAA. That was the whole reason for region coding in the first place, so they could have movies out on DVD here in the US, before they got to theaters overseas. Same way for games, they can release the Japanese version of a game long before it hits US shores, ensuring that the US gets the "edited" version. Also unfortunately, import sales aren't tracked, so nobody has a real picture of what the demand for imports are.
Of course, once you beat region coding, you have to get past the PAL/NTSC issue, too.

Personally I also hate region only games...and to respond to game releases I'm very dissapointed as I'm living in Europe. Can you imagine seeing game releases in Japan, half a year later US and then hopefully one year after Europe get's the game.....IF.
