I am thinking about buying a cover for the new xbox ignition pad I bought at levelsix.com- do you think the red octane one would fit? I dont know where else to get one. Would it be rough on my feet if I do that? I just thought maybe it could protect it beter. Does anyone else do this. I also notice when I am going real fast on songs, I slide off the pad on the side sometimes and almost fall. I was thinking of finding socks with a rubber traction on them but I only saw some that are real thick for winter not thin ones to work out in. Any ideas?

You could always do it without socks, but whenever I do that I end up getting blisters on my toes. You should search the internet for some different types of socks or something...I'm sure they make them somewhere. As for the cover, I have no clue. I don't have the ignition pad (although I would like one). I've been considering getting a metal pad like the ones in the arcade. Several people have told me they'd help me get better at it. But...who knows?

I've got a pair of pad covers from redoctane.com and I like them, they work very well on my Konami dance pads. It does prolong the life of the pad. I usually can't play DDR without it. I like it to cause you can play in your shoes with them! On crazy songs though it does slip a little, but your feet will always be hitting the arrows. Hope this helps man.

What a good idea! I have some of those sock slippers and I tried them on my pad this morning and I didn't slip once. Thanks for the great tip!
