Okay, asking advice from the people that know. I'm debating on wether or not I should get Ultramix. I would get every DDR mix that ever exist if I could, but is it really worth it for me to buy it at this point? One, it's on Xbox, a system that isn't easy to move from room to room in my house so I don't have easy access to move it to a " DDR safe" room. Two, I tried using a cloth pad the other day. Nearly slipped and fell on my butt. I can't use cloth pads anymore, and I don't have the means to get another control box for my metal pad for Xbox. Three, no Xbox Live. Don't have the service and don't have enough games nor friends that like Xbox enough to own it. Plus, no broadband connection.
If I buy it at this point, I'll be lugging it from room to room which will make me not want to play it as often as the PS2 versions (PS2 in the " DDR safe" room). The Xbox is my brother's, so it's staying where it's at. I'll be using a very slippery cloth pad. I would use those sticky circles, but I like to be able to pick up the pad so I can use my floor space again. And I'll be stuck with an Xbox game that has less songs than Konamix. I have DDR USA, Konamix, Max, Max 2 (US & Japan), 2nd ReMix, 4th Mix, and Extreme (Japan). I won't exactly be missing out on some of the songs.
Is buying Ultramix really worth it to me to buy it at this point?

If you already have a DDR game and if you can't play it in a "Safe Room" the i wouldn't suggest it. I love it but i don't have a PS2 and i have a good carpet room to play in.

From the sounds of it, no, it's not really worth it. It has like two good songs...if that. (One's that I enjoy, at least) Most of my favorite songs are on Max and Max2. The only real advantage of getting ultramix is that you can play on x-box live...i don't think you can do that with PS2, can you? but...if you want to, go for it. I have it. It's wonderful. (But I don't own the versions for PS2....i've tried my friend's)

I think the debate really comes down to whether you already own an xbox or not, or if you own a PS2 or not. I only own an xbox, so its UM all the way for me. Its got a really good mix of songs, but i think the best stuff in in the downloadable SPs. If you don't have broadband, then i wouldn't recommend the xbox at all. Its really what makes me happiest with the system.
But as far as DDR goes, it seems that theres just more mixes and options on the PS2, so i wouldn't buy an XBOX purely for UM.
