I haven't tried Live, yet... I'm irked that you can't have different log-on names. My fiance is already "Vrykolaka" (it's his XBox), & not only do I not relish the thought of having to explain to people (repeatedly) how to pronounce it, but I don't really want to bother all his MechAssault buddies w/ DDR (& vice-versa).

I just tried out Xbox Live last night. I was playing on Light and everyone kicked my butt so hard, but I didn't care. It was totally fun!
My Live name is "figby" Don't make fun of me, Mike chose the name when he was playing PGR2.
There is absolutely no one to play games with at 5am. Doesn't anyone want to compete on Xbox Live before they go to school/work? Are any of you guys out there wishing there was someone whose butt you could kick at 5am?
Maybe we should all make appointments with each other to meet online on certain days/times.

When I first started using Xbox Live, I thought that there must be no one online because there were no games waiting. I found out that if I started a game of my own, tons of people come out of the woodwork to play with me.
Don't these guys know how to start a game? They all keep playing the games I choose over and over. Of course, they all kick my butt, but I don't care about that. It's so fun!
I get so energized by talking to the other players. I met someone from El Salvador last week (he was playing with a controller). Xbox Live totally rocks!
I have been down on Xbox because there is only one DDR game for it, but I'm totally eating my words now. Playing with other people all over the country (and maybe the world) is the epitome of cool!

Online Tournaments?
What will they be like? Each time I play a game, it's like a little competition with the other people. What will be different? Will they be scheduled? Have you heard anything about it?
Man, I was too tired to play Xbox Live last night. I'm missing it already. I wonder if I'll be able to find the time tonight...

Well, living out in hicksville I have no clue where to start with buying Xbox Live. Lol. What are the requirements for it and how do you set up an accounct? It would be sweet if I could get it workin.

Firstly, you need to connect your Xbox to the Internet. I have only played it with a cable modem, so I don't know what it would be like with a dial-up account, but I suspect that you wouldn't do very well.
After you are connected to the Internet, you need to purchase the Xbox Live account at your local store. You choose between a three month trial or a year. The year comes with the communicator headset, so that seemed like a better deal to me.
Additionally, to set up your account, you need to have a credit card. Why they don't let you set one up with a credit card online and not bother with buying the account at the local game store, I'll never know, but it's their game, so we have to play by their rules.
Is this enough information to get you started?
