Does this thing work??...Because I need to keep track on how much calorie i burn a day, My goal is to burn off atleast 500 a day. Also do you have the same effect of calories burn if u have the work out steps on, Or if u just have the default step patterns on. I have the work out steps on, But tell me which one gives u more of a work out?

Workout steps give you a more consistent step rate, no holds, etc. The purpose is to keep you moving at a steady pace. Use it or don't, it's a personal preference thing.
As for the calorie counter, I'm probably the biggest opponent to using it. No calorie counter is accurate, shy of a a calorimeter chamber where they measure every last little thing, which is wildly impractical. Do not judge your workout by number of calories burned, regardless of whether it's DDR, walking, running, 12 oz. "curls", whatever. Worry only about getting your heart rate up to your target zone ((220-age) *.75) for about 30 minutes each day. That's all you need, and the calories take care of themselves.

heh yeah um I played Flow in work out mode last night and well it said I burned 209 kcal and when playing in game it said like 10000calories and I was like yeah right!! So yeah calorie counters aren't the greatest in the world, they either in my case say too many or on other games it seems too low. Just in case you are confused on how to check your pulse for target zone here is a link on how to do it www.ginmiller.com/gmf04/artinfo/THR2pulsecheck.htm
