how the heck to you exit dance mode in DDR max 2 for ps2. I've played through all the songs but can't exit the darn dance mode except for restarting the whole game and obviously I lose all my progress that way.. can anyone help me?

Press and hold Triangle. Start (or is it select) also works. If your pad doesn't have those, plug in a controller when you're done. There's also the option of failing a song if you don't have event mode turned on.

select chooses custom songs and start sorts the songs that are already there.. our dance mode plays like an arcade machine, we have no triangle on our pad, the ps2 pad we have only has o and x. failing a song doesn't do anything but bring you back to the song selection...
It still doesn't really make sense to me.. if I get off my pads my kids take them over and I'd have to make them cry to get them back.
