New totally irrelevant question:
Alligators or refrigerators?

Now, now, be nice.
I pick DDR, never liked console RPGs, but I'm old school and grew up with pen and paper RPGs, then had the SSI Gold Box D&D games. Final Fantasy just seems to pale in comparison to what they were able to do back then. Admittedly, I haven't played the new ones.

Sahrry. I guess if I was put to gunpoint and pick... it would have to be Final Fantasy. No game has ever come close to gripping and compelling me from start to finish like FFVII. Aeris... my dear Aeris... *sob*

/whispers VI was better than VII

If Chrono Trigger counts (it was on FF Collection) then I definitely pick Final Fantasy.

VI was good, but hard to come across.
VII holds my heart... forever.
Chrono Trigger might as well be an FF game, although I never really got into it.
FFX-2 doesn't count as a Final Fantasy game!

I think that I am one of the ONLY people that actually LIKED X-2! It wasn't my FAVORITE by any means (totally VI, NO COMPETITION), but I think i'd have to pick FF over DDR, unless they made the Chocobo song a tune on DDR, I would die.

FFX had a better story, but as far as gameplay, X-2 had me there, no more sphere grid, and you could switch classes on the fly, but better gameplay doesn't always mean a better game, story is about 80% of the fun...well for me anywayz.

I own FFX and everything, and it was pretty good... but I just didn't think the characters were well developed... scratch that... they tried to make the characters TOO developed... IMO.

Yeah, I started not caring about the character developement after a while. They were there, that's all that matters.
The only real reason I liked X-2 was Paine. I love sarcasm.
And I hated Aeris. I was glad when she died xD

And I hated Aeris. I was glad when she died xD It all depended on how you played the game. Even though Cloud was supposed to seem destined for Aeris, I made Cloud choose Tifa from the get-go. As a result, losing Aeris was like losing a secondary character. One time my brother succeeded in getting Cloud to see around the Golden Saucer with Barret instead of the chicks. I thought that was hillarious.
