is there any possible way to get rid of your "dancing buddy" or whatever the F*ck you call him/her on Beginner's mode? i really want to see the backgrounds without switching to light mode (i aint ready for it yet)

You're more ready for light mode than you think you are. Give it a try. Youre right!! the first song i tried on light mode was "conga Feeling" passed it with a B! ;D

In fact, I didn't even have DDR for playstation. All I had was DWI, and I could only get one song for it, "Exotic Ethnic". Try learning how to play when all you've got is a fast 4 foot light mode song. [/fogey] True story, there. Then I got DDRMAX, which doesn't have beginner mode. Having played EE so many times really helped me out in the beginning.
