Hi Everyone, My name is Fran and I am very desperate. I'm going to school and fighting a husband that is out of control. I have gained 60lbs in the last year. I'm very unhappy and could care to go on. One more time I am going to try to lose weight. It seems that I do pretty good for about 3 months and then I fall of the wagon. I looked into the Gastric bypass and lap band but my insurance will not help pay for it. I have fibromyalgia, had 2 back surgeries, my left knee is shot! So, you see why its important to lose weight. I have no self discipline. If anyone can support me and help me develop a food plan and as you see my exercise is very limited with my problems. I need major help. If something don't happen soon I feel as if it wouldn't be worth continuing this life anymore....I do want to live by my mind don't care. I am taking meds for High blood pressure, depression, fibro, pain med when needed...I thank anyone who can encourage me and help me.. I think I can do this if someone can help. Thank you Fran

My mother was severely depressed when her fibromyalgia was full blown as well. Hang in there. There is always a way through. In another post you ask what DDR is. Well...this is a forum for those who are interested in using DDR (or dance dance revolution) or other dancing games with the means of loosing weight or just living a healthier lifestyle. But we have others who come here just for support who don't play the game anymore. It's a good place for advice/support. As far as the weight loss, there are several ways to go about it and a number of people can inform you on any number of topics/methods from calorie counting, to change in diet, to exercise plans. If you need low impact, try elliptical, swimming and ddr with jumps turned off (can get into that later)... As far as fighting a husband who is out of control, is he abusive? Leave him! Alcohol/ Drug abuse? Leave him! Cheating? Leave him! If it's something else, I don't know... and maybe you are hoping for a change in behavior? But these aren't things I can just give advice on without some sort of insight, and even then, I'm bitter about my ex still so I can be downright bi est.

Very good advise xstatic.
Bottom line is Fran, you have to want to help yourself. Once you have committed to losing weight 3 months is not enough time. Its a life long struggle for most of us. So be prepared to change your eating habits for good. Which doesn't mean you can't have treats now and then.
Try this. Tell yourself you want to lose 15 lbs (only). After you have lost that. Try another 10 lbs etc. If you think 60 for example...that goal is way to high. You will become discouraged too soon. Step it a few pounds at a time. Its like quitting smoking , you can't slip up. Be dedicated to this. Once you are happy with yourself (even if it takes a year or more) then you deal with the next issues in your life. Don't become overwhelmed. Take it step by step.
Hope all works out for you Fran!!!
