Hey y'all! I'm new here, and found this site looking for some info on how to stay fit playing DDR. Basically, I'm 17 years old, and I've been overweight my whole life (not morbidly obsese, though), and last November, I picked up my first DDR game ever; Dance Dance Revolution: Mario Mix. Well, at first I thought it was boring, and after I unlocked all the songs, I just stopped playing it.
Well, flash foward seven months into my summer vacation, where I decided I should start playing it every day to stay in shape. Well, I was still relatively new to this series, so I started using it as a practice game. Basically, I worked myself up from Normal Mode all the way to Super Hard mode, and I've noticed my stamina and strength has increased greatly. I've also dropped about five pounds the first two weeks I started playing it.
Well, there's were really only like 25 songs in it, so I started to get a little bored, and I thought only hard DDR's were on the PS2. I don't have a PS2, just a PSone. But one day, I found a DDR game called Konamix, and I ordered it off eBay. I got it about two weeks ago, but I had to wait another week before I could start playing it; no dance pads I could find in my city would work with the PSone. So I bought two Dance Pads on eBay, and got them I think last Thursday, and since then, I've started to play it at least an hour a day. It's really challenging-but fun!- game, and I'm glad I spent the money to pay for it.
Also, are there any other DDR games out there anyone recommends? This is a series I definetely wanna get into. Now, to start weighing and keeping progress of my weight.
Well, there's my story. I look forward to meeting you all!
