Okay, I need a new DDR game pretty soon. I've tried to fix my CF numerous times, and it's just not happening. I've been pretty bored with my PS2 games because I've played them so much, so I'm looking for something on the 360.
My question is: Should I get SuperNova 2? I need a game that's going to challenge me physically, but not something that's impossible. I'm in pretty good health at this point; I can probably do around a 7-minute mile or so, so easy songs are something undesirable. Also, the less hassle of 'unlocking' songs or whatever, the better. I trust all your guys' judgement, so should I get it and a pad, or what?

I found Supernova to be harder than SN2, and i'm working out to SN now instead of 2. I just find it better, I guess.

Your CF can be fixed, don't give up on it.
1. Make a new topic, and tell me in high detail your symptoms, it can be the FIX MY CF thread.
2. Are you willing to take the entire pad apart if need be?
3. Hopefully your solution is to just fix a short, or adjust the ground wire, probably not a control box solution since you've been trying to fix it already.
A worst case scenario entails removing all screws, removing all the velcro, removing the ground plate (probably just turn it upside down to get a clean non-stick start), and removing all of the wires. Then you would buy a Pump It Up dance pad (easiest PS2 control box to work with BY FAR) and some 8-wire 7' ethernet cord, a Female-Female ethernet adapter to unplug the pad, and new velcro. Then it's a matter of cutting the ethernet cord in half, cutting the ends off and re-wiring the dance pad with velcro to make the connections. The other end of the ethernet cord will be soldered into the new control box, and connect through the F-F adapter, put it all back together and you have a refurbished Cobalt Flux. So basically it can be fixed, and probably for less than $35 if you have a soldering iron.

Your CF can be fixed, don't give up on it. My CF started to fail, even after routine cleaning, like there was a permanent short on the front row squares. The pad would like pick its own songs without me selecting, and when I was spinning the wheel it would stop on anything. So had my son do surgery on it. And what he discovered was that the glue on the front edges of the 3 front squares had released so the metal contacts were permanently in touch. So he glued them again, C-clamped edges overnight -- and it has been working flawlessly since , 3 months later. I've had it a little over 2 years and this is the first problem ever. But now it's like new again.
