First of all, boooo I actually had to log in to post in this forum. The descriptor is a LIE!
But, I have a question about the Cobalt Flux. I've been looking at one for a while and now it looks like I'm getting some extra cash so that ordering one may be a possibility! But My question is, does it soften the noise of playing upstairs to make it bearable? I'm not a light person, and I know the few times I've gone to friends' houses and played upstairs, it sounded like the entire house was crashing down from below, and I worried about the integrity of the building structure :X. Some noise I can deal with. I just can't have it bouncing the floor and making Huge thumping noises the entire time. Anybody know about this type of thing? Any advice appreciated ^_^. I'm going to be so thrilled if getting one allows me to start playing again, and so angry if I get one and pay 300 bucks to not be able to play anyway due to noise.

I don't think you would EVER have to worry about your DDRing affecting the building integrity, it just sounds that way! I think that getting a metal pad actually makes a bit more noise when DDRing (ask members like psisar or xstatic, they have them), but if you tried to step lighter or even a little bit smoother, you'd have better luck with the noise and the thumpimg and stuff like that. Lighter stepping won't make you sweat less, but it'll definitely help with the noise.
Anyone with a CF want to add to this?

I wouldn't worry about damaging building structure, it takes a lot to tear down a house. As for noise, unless you play in a basement you're pretty much owned regardless if you have a metal or a pad. A metal pad will make more noise especially since it's thumping + tapping from your feet hitting the sensors. When I played in my apartment my landlord was at my door at least once a week for noise complaints, both when I had my soft pad and my metal one lol.
