I don't anything about DDR or dance pads but am going to buy one for my newphew who is already 6'1" at 17 yrs! Will he need a bigger pad since his legs are longer? Or does that even matter? Thanks for your help. Bye.

to me, there's not really a height requirement for the pads. all pads are pretty much the same size and they're all pretty big already. so just get any soft pad for now or you could invest a little more to get a red octance ignition pad for him.

don't lie to the poor man. I'm 6'2" and my feet are literally the same size as the squares, so its basically impossible for me to play the game without either jumping on my toes or turning my feet sideways, both of which hurt and limit my play time a lot. I'm currently looking around for larger pads, so I don't know of any yet to recommend, but I wouldn't say all pads are the same and they are all big enough, cuz they aren't all big enough

if your feet are really that big, try aiming for the corners of the arrow while playing

I'm 6'3 and I have to play on my toes at the arcade as well as home.. there really isn't much of a way around it.

After looking around it seems all the pads are the same size anyway, so the question was academic. Thank you to all that replied - everyone here is so nice!

no height size is need for a certain pad. And they only come in one size, unless babies start getting into it...then they might shrink it.

It shouldn't really be that bad.
Maybe if the companies that makes the dance pads can accommodate the taller players by extending the arrow sensors to cover a little more. Seeing that on the soft pads.. The sensors are in the center of each arrow. That would be better.

yeah, u just have to deal with it, i find it very comfortable to play on my toes or flat footed, the pad size is perfect the way it is, and i wouldn't change anything about it.

I'm 5 10 and my feet are fine on my soft and metal pad. Just tell him to wear comfy socks
