I'm writing a research paper, and this survey is going to be part of it. Honest answers would be great. Thanks in advance. 1)Full name: (only reason i need to know this is to ensure same person doesn't accidently answer on multiple forums) 2)Gender: 3)Age: 4)Current Height: 5)Current Weight: 6)How long have you been DDRing? 7)How long does a typical DDR session last for you? 8)Do you regurally do any other exercises besides DDR? 9)Has DDR provided any notable weight loss? If so, how much? Was this accompanied by a diet? 10)Do you feel that DDR has improved your sense of well being? 11)Has DDR built any noticeable strength? 12)How much longer can you DDR than when you first started? 13)Do you think DDR has made you more mobile/flexible? Has it helped with any joint or muscle movement problems? 14)Do you think that you could have achieved [9-13] with any form of exercise other than DDR? Would it have been as easy? As fun? 15)Do you think DDR is a good exercise? 16)Any other comments on DDR?

1)Full name: Sherri Hall 2)Gender: Female 3)Age: 16 4)Current Height: 5'2" 5)Current Weight: 196 6)How long have you been DDRing? 6 months 7)How long does a typical DDR session last for you? 30-45 minutes 8)Do you regularly do any other exercises besides DDR? no 9)Has DDR provided any notable weight loss? If so, how much? Was this accompanied by a diet? Yes, I have lost weight playing DDR. I've lost around 25 pounds so far playing DDR. None of it has been accompanied by any real diet; I'm just not eating as much as I had been due to lack of hunger because of playing DDR. 10)Do you feel that DDR has improved your sense of well being? Definitely. I feel better about myself and I know I will continue to as I become a better and healthier person with the help of DDR. 11)Has DDR built any noticeable strength? Yes. 12)How much longer can you DDR than when you first started? I can DDR on Standard mode for about an hour and a half or two hours before I give out. When I first started, I could only do about half an hour on Light. (That is a big difference) 13)Do you think DDR has made you more mobile/flexible? Has it helped with any joint or muscle movement problems? I wouldn't say that just playing it has made me more flexible, because I do stretch before I play every time and sometimes afterward, too. But if I didn't play DDR, I wouldn't stretch, so in a way it has helped to make me more flexible. 14)Do you think that you could have achieved [9-13] with any form of exercise other than DDR? Would it have been as easy? As fun? I'm sure I could've done it using other exercises, but I wouldn't have. It would not have been as easy or as fun as it has been with DDR, and I know that I would have gotten burned out on it and stopped. 15)Do you think DDR is a good exercise? Anybody who does not think that DDR is good exercise clearly hasn't tried to play it, especially on Standard or Heavy. DDR is an excellent exercise. 16)Any other comments on DDR? DDR has changed my life for the better, and I love it. People can say what they want, but DDR is exercise, it does not make you a loser, and it is fun. That's more than can be said for most exercises. DDR is a great way to get in shape and be healthier or lose weight, or both. I'm sorry that my answers are all so long, but since you said this was for research, you'll probably want some quotes or something to put into it. All of the information I provided is free for your use. Have fun doing your DDR paper .

1)Full name: (I'm not going to divulge this, but... you can make up a snappy pseudonym for me if you like?) 2)Gender: Female. 3)Age: (Gads, I don't give out my age either. Policy. Um, under 20?) 4)Current Height: 5'2" 5)Current Weight: 162.2 lbs. 6)How long have you been DDRing? I'd say about a year. 7)How long does a typical DDR session last for you? Half an hour to forty-five minutes. 8)Do you regurally do any other exercises besides DDR? I do exercise videos, basically on a daily basis. 9)Has DDR provided any notable weight loss? If so, how much? Was this accompanied by a diet? The first two weeks I got DDR I lost 15 pounds, and I didn't diet. I've lost another 15 pounds in the past three months or so since then with regular exercise and DDR thrown in the mix. 10)Do you feel that DDR has improved your sense of well being? Absolutely. It got me started on the idea of setting a time to exercise and sticking with it. 11)Has DDR built any noticeable strength? Oh, yeah. In my legs, obviously. 12)How much longer can you DDR than when you first started? I started at getting winded after a few songs on light mode, but now I can do standard and heavy for an hour without dying. 13)Do you think DDR has made you more mobile/flexible? Has it helped with any joint or muscle movement problems? I don't think it's made me flexible, but the soreness encouraged me to stretch before and after and that's helped. 14)Do you think that you could have achieved [9-13] with any form of exercise other than DDR? Would it have been as easy? As fun? I could have, sure, but it would have been much less fun and hence more difficult to stick with. 15)Do you think DDR is a good exercise? Definitely. Hoppling around that rapidly for extended periods of time makes working up a sweat easy. 16)Any other comments on DDR? DDR changed my views on exercise in general, which has helped me more than I can start to say. It definitley puts a new spin on things.
(Oh my God, NGTS, I didn't even look at your answers before I wrote this! And they're basically identical. Jeez!)

1)Full name: (only reason i need to know this is to ensure same person doesn't accidently answer on multiple forums) Emmala Delissa 2)Gender: Female 3)Age: 15 4)Current Height: 5'7 5)Current Weight: 186? At least that's what it was last month... Probably gained since 6)How long have you been DDRing? On and off since February... So a little over 1/2 year 7)How long does a typical DDR session last for you? Depends on my mood and if I'm with anyone. 10 minutes - 3 hours 8)Do you regurally do any other exercises besides DDR? Walk/jog every night. I'll be walking instead of jogging more often though now, since the cold weather really affects my asthma for some reason. 9)Has DDR provided any notable weight loss? If so, how much? Was this accompanied by a diet? It did when I first started, I lost maybe 5 pounds in 2 weeks, wasn't really on a diet, but I guess I DID eat less since I wasplaying DDR instead of stuffing my face. 10)Do you feel that DDR has improved your sense of well being? Not really 11)Has DDR built any noticeable strength? My calves were getting pretty good, but then I had my tubing accident and now they're back to crap 12)How much longer can you DDR than when you first started? I've actually gotten worse with time... But back when I did it more often, I probably went from 5 min. to 2 hours. < Quite a difference from the beginning, eh 13)Do you think DDR has made you more mobile/flexible? Has it helped with any joint or muscle movement problems? Nope, my muscle problems from the tubing accident are worse when I play, but I don't care. 14)Do you think that you could have achieved [9-13] with any form of exercise other than DDR? Would it have been as easy? As fun? Could have, yeah, easier? Probably, I actually like running stairs. As fun? Coming from the chick who likes running up and down the stairs, yeah, with some music, I probably could have had a blast... But I can only run up and down the stairs so much, 10 times and I'm tired. DDR is something I don't get as tired with. 15)Do you think DDR is a good exercise? Chya it is, if you do it enough anyway. 16)Any other comments on DDR? ... I love it. Well, not at the moment. When my dance pads are broken, I lose interest... I don't like seeing "BOO"s

1)Full name: Anne (xstatic) 2)Gender: female 3)Age: 25 4)Current Height: 5'1" 5)Current Weight: about 163lbs 6)How long have you been DDRing? year and a half now 7)How long does a typical DDR session last for you?at least a half hour, preferably 1.5 to 2 hours 8)Do you regurally do any other exercises besides DDR? no 9)Has DDR provided any notable weight loss? If so, how much? Was this accompanied by a diet? yes. 55 lbs so far. I cut out a lot of the junk food, but usually no diets. 10)Do you feel that DDR has improved your sense of well being? absolutely 11)Has DDR built any noticeable strength? my calves are huge. 12)How much longer can you DDR than when you first started? My stamina has greatly increased. I know that. But hours on DDR beginner or light mode was never a challenge for me...endurance-wise. 13)Do you think DDR has made you more mobile/flexible? Has it helped with any joint or muscle movement problems? Not that I have noticed. But I've always been athletic. 14)Do you think that you could have achieved [9-13] with any form of exercise other than DDR? Would it have been as easy? As fun? Well, no. I don't have the patience for it. Unless we are discussing a sport. I played hockey for many many years and was pretty fit back then. Once I couldn't play anymore I gained all my weight. I need active stimulation to keep me dedicated I guess. 15)Do you think DDR is a good exercise? 100% yes. 16)Any other comments on DDR? I hug my extreme machine at the mall occasionally because it's what got me hooked and allowed me to loose so much weight. I owe a lot to DDR.
