Greetings all.. I thought I'd start a post here to say "hiya" to everyone. I've played DDR off and on a for awhile. I'm not very good (yet) and can only get an "a" in light mode. However, I have tons of fun and play enough to work up a sweat.
So, my questions are: How to get better? Does playing ddr really work well as a cardio workout?
Any tips you can give would be great!
Thanks!!
Laura
p.s. I wasn't sure where the heck to put this, so if this is in the wrong place, please let me know! ;D

Welcome! You'll be suprised how good you get at the game if you keep playing consistantly... I never thought I'd be able to play heavy when I first started, but that's all I play now. Keep ar it and don't get discouraged if you don't do well right off, no one does... and it is tons of fun, eh? DDR is a GREAT cardio workout. Take a look in the Before and Better section of these boards for some before and after pics of people who've lost weight using DDR. If that won't get you motivated, I don't know what will If you have any questions at all feel free to post. All of us will try our best to answer them for you.

hey! Mind if I call you animal?? *was always my favorite muppet.* And as psisar said - if you keep playing you wil get better. I think we all started the game falling and looking rediculous. It's the fun in the game that makes progress just so dang easy. And once you get going and you start to see the weight loss - changing your eating habbits comes more easily because you get this "OMG this is attainable!" attitude. Good luck!
