Figured I'd post a "Hi nice to meet you thread!" even though I've been posting a bit in the pictures and living healthy sections. Anyway I'm a 24 year old guy stuck in central Illinois for the past 7 months (Moved from louisiana where I grew up, this thing they call snow is wierd). Some backstory, when I was 18 I was down around 10% Bodyfat and in great shape. Then I got into a fairly bad accident and was laid out for months, couple that with reoccuring surgeries over the next few years and I blew up. I've always know how to be healthy and when I hit 320 lbs, I finally got motivated to lose it. I'm currently using DDR as a method of cardio (1 hour a day 5 days a week!) but the learning curve is a bit steep.. I have been playing and I managed an A on Dream a Dream on Standard on UM2. I'm down to 283 now after a little over 2 months (picutre update soonish - 30th) and finally completely into it again. Anyway feel free to talk with me anytime, and I'll try to help out abrannan sometimes with the food and healthy lifestyle questions (he seems to be the resident expert) So I guess that's a bit of info don't know really what else to say but: Hi!

Do any of you have that problem to where a word, or maybe even a song get stuck in your head, and repeat themselves for indefinite amounts of time?
Granted, the song thing isn't entirely abnormal.. But the WORD THING!!
Like, one time, for about 2 weeks the words "BINOMIAL NOMENCLATURE" repeated endlessly in my head without cease.
Today, the word is "Ham Hock."

ham hock *giggle* That would just make me laugh at myself all day. I have actually gotten a word or more likely a phrase stuck in my head. I don't think it's that uncommon.
anyhoo... welcome all you new people... yes there are a slew of you this month!

Yes, it is a highly entertaining word.. To a point.
The thing of the matter is, I've never seen a ham hock, much less tasted one.
I barely have a notion of what one actually is, (logic tells me that it has something to do with a ham and a hock..) and so I must certainly wonder how it is that this word materialized out of nothing and attached itself to my brain.

According to dictionary.com a ham hock is: "a small cut of meat from the leg just above the foot"
The words "mreow" and cooties are stuck in my brain right now.

Definately noticed the cornfields, driving anywhere on the interstate is so boring. Really right now the biggest problem for me is not really knowing anyone around here, so it makes it even worse. Aside from that, it's not too bad. Great job and the friends I do have are fun (just they all are in long relationships, puts a damper on doing things on the weekends)

I had a great time breaking the corn stalks in half and making them into labrynths. Corn stalks are fun.

Haha, I lived near the Wisconsin border by Chicago for like 7 years and had a cornfield bordering my back yard. All kinds of mischief happened in that cornfield. Weird, now I live in Louisiana... we switched places!?! ... kinda.... not really... i shut up now. Guess so, how do you like Louisiana? I miss the fun, don't miss the summer. It's my first summer away from Louisiana up here and I find it really amusing that peopel think it gets "really, really hot" in the summer up here. They look at me like I'm nuts when I call it not bad at all. Course when I go home for christmas break and they have a bit of cold weather (~ 40 degrees F) its just as amusing that 'OMG ITS FREEZING!'
