I've never really been discouraged throughout my journey to lose weight, but I really hate looking at old posts where people seem like they gave up on the boards and possibly their aspirations to lose weight! I betcha some people were half way there and gave up, so maddening!
Does anyone else feel the same way?

Well you really need to think about what kind of situations people are in. Some people might go through some hard times and may have no choice in quitting their prior plans. For example, my best friend was on a very strict diet and when his mother passed away he had to work full time to take care of his brothers and sisters, considering his father doesn't have that great of a job. He had no time to do anything and had to eat on the run, mainly fast food, and he gained all his weight (about 60 pounds) back. Now that his father has a better job he can leave the house and go out on his own, and is mad at himself (but he shouldn't be) for quitting his diet.
I am mad at myself because I haven't been playing DDR, but a skinless toe, that hurts like heck, prevents me from doing so (Long story, basically I stubbed my toe). It all depends on what the situation is.

I prefer to think of it as people who got all the help and information they needed here and are flying free on their own.

I prefer to think of it as people who got all the help and information they needed here and are flying free on their own. There's an optimistic alternative I never thought of. I'm determined though, that I may not post for a week at a time when things get bad, but I won't vanish from these boards until I've at least crossed under 180 pounds.
