I was flipping through my DDR manual today and I noticed some weird characters in there... one, a blue robot with a plug for a head and two batteries on its back, the other a girl in a pink and purple maid outfit with purple cat ears on. Who are these characters? I've never seen them in the game before, at least I'm pretty sure I haven't. I took some pictures, excuse the quality, my camera sucks. Anyone know?

greetings from the concrete jungle . . . Those characters are in DDRMax. I'm not sure if they are in any of the other games, since i don't own them, but i do own Max and remember seeing them on the game when you select what kind of game play you're going to be doing (singles, doubles, etc.) hope that helped! P.S. nice photo editing I mean that, i couldn't have darkened the photos and added the light circles. (i'm computer retarded) UJKitten

Ah, ty. The manual is from Ultramix 2 and I had never seen them before. The robot guy is kinda odd lol. Thanks. I want to get into graphic design as a career, I've been doing it since I was 13 (5 years ago) I haven't been doing it so much lately but I'm trying to get back into it... IE, the dancer thing I have for my pic, I made that in photoshop. Not great, but I'm getting started again.

Yeah, the robot guy is kind of wacky, but cute. The characters in Max don't dance with you the way they do in U2, but they're present in the game in other ways.
Good luck w/ your career goals, my roommate is a graphic designer. He would tell you to network, network, network as early as you can. It makes getting a job a lot easier in the field.

The robot guy also appears in DDR Extreme for the PS2.
I wondered about that dancer in your pic. It looked like it might have been hand made, but I didn't want to ask. I think you did a pretty good job.

Thanks for clearing that up... I was wondering if they were characters you had to unlock or something, but I had never heard of them before. I'll put my mind at ease now I wondered about that dancer in your pic. It looked like it might have been hand made, but I didn't want to ask. I think you did a pretty good job. Ah, ty The original picture was of a stripper lol... I added some clothes to make her, erm, more presentable. Just added the DDR pad, some editing and *poof*. If anyone wants me to whip up a graphic for them, just PM me what you want and Ill make something up for you. I'm a nerd and proud of it, I love this stuff.

LOL
You may have more work on your hands now than you wanted when you made that offer, but i, for one, would love a personalized logo or avatar or whatever you wanna call it.
Psisar does good work!!

I made this original image years ago in a Ray-Tracer. Only recently got into photoshop style manipulation, and only for work.
I've been proud of some scratchboard art that wound up getting used in one of my more recent projects. Eventually, it's supposed to turn into a clock. I just don't have the heart to drill a hole through it.
Thanks for the offer, though!
