Okay, folks, Occam's Razor time. For those of you not familiar with Occam's Razor, look it up.
We are presented with two possiblities in the discussion: 1) Frosty was referring to playing the Japanese version of extreme at home. 2) He was playing on a modified arcade machine that has been set up with identical features to the japanese home version of Extreme.
Which solution is simpler, and therefore, more likely?

To go back to the original topic...
The highest number of songs I've done in a row was 54 on Heavy. Worked through all the catastrophics, etc.
My highest combo was 6000+, don't remember the exact number... I was on my GAME that day.

Where did this even come from? MAX. (period) isn't on any arcade mixes, neither is endless mode. What is Max (period)

I'm pretty sure it's on some Japanese arcade and home mixes, but I'm not sure which ones.

It is not even in Japanese arcade mixes or we would have it over here (almost all of the machines in the US are the Japanese machines). Max.(Period) was created for the home version of Extreme, and I believe that the home version of Max2 had not even come out by the time the arcade version of Extreme was created. Extreme was the last arcade mix, so Max.(Period) could only show up on a new arcade mix. The only hope of that is that the DDR fad starts in Japan again (I'm sure it appears on VH1-Japan's "I Love the 90's" as that fad everybody could look back and laugh at, lol) or that Konami realizes that their machines are vanishing from arcades due to the popularity of ITG. As for the latter, I am sure that will be happening soon. Arcades always want new machines, and those DDRs are pushing 3 or 4 years at this point. They want something new. It may be then that Konami starts making DDR machines again.

It isn't hard to find; it is on the Japanese home version of Extreme, which is a very popular import among DDR fans. I described the situation under which it could eventually appear in the arcades.
