You guys are so lucky. 5 DDR Machines. I've only played on Extreme twice. That's it for my arcade life. Basically everything I've done has been at home. I have a metal pad, but the real arcade experience is unbeatable. I've only seen Extreme around here, although I think someone has mentioned a DDR Max machine being somewhere. You guys are real lucky to get so many machines in one place.

<<<<<< Never played DDR in the arcade. There are some malls around here that have some. I think Mall of America has a few, but I just play at home on my XB.

I live about an hour away from the closest machine, and everytime I go to play it, it's closed. I have played the arcade version quite a few times thouhg, but I'm mainly stuck with the home version. I'm not complaining though. I would have spent about $9000 thus far trying to get up to 9 footers in this past year

I have never played ddr in the arcade either I was one of the people who looked at it and said... thats retarded! I would laugh at people that were playing on it. Then one day I saw this guy at Gameworks in Seattle and he was like smokin on it. My wife was riding that big ride that goes to the ceiling so I watched while he was getting AA's on 9 footers. Well so I just play at home till i get good enough to go to the arcade and show off.

How about those smug guys who work in the arcade? My daughter was doing great, 8 footer, when one of the guys who works there started up the machine next to her and put on an eight footer of his own. But, he never looked at the screen, carried on a conversation with the guy next to him, and still got an AA..... just hate those guys.

how many people in here can do Heavy (maniac)?? It seems like there's not much ppl in here that can. Come on now, I got to heavy in like 3 months. DDR just comes so easy to me.
Right now, all i'm working on in MaxX Unlimited, Sakura, and Paranoia Survivor. I could get a B on all of them except MaxX Unlimited.

But it doesn't come easy to a lot of us. After about four months now I can play some Heavy/Maniac songs, but I'm mostly focusing on Light and some Medium songs. If I try to do too many high-intensity songs at once, I just burn myself out, and although I'd really like to play more high-level songs, I'd prefer to stick with low-level songs, getting my accuracy better and keeping my heart rate at a target level for weight loss.
