Liz, you pop in here every week or so and post essentially the same message every time, with little to no response from the community. Meanwhile, in other threads on the board, people are posting a ton of good information that you could be learning from. Not to mention the archives of all the old posts from the last three years, chock full of good information.
Do me (and yourself) a favor. Take some time, read some older posts, follow the links that people have posted to health and nutrition sites and read those. If you end up with some more specific questions, ask those. I recommend starting with just about any "Hi, I'm new" post. Usually people post what they've been doing, and ask if that seems good. The responses are usually a few tips on how to modify what they've been doing.
To improve your response rate on your posts, give us a little more information. What have you been doing? How has it been working (or not)? What's your typical day like? The more information we have about who you are and what you've been doing, the better information we can give you. Show us that you've willing to put a modicum of effort into it, because if you can't find the motivation to even do a little reading, how on Earth are you going to find the motivation to actually *do* something?

#1 TIP of all time: Consume fewer calories than your body needs to function.
If you burn 2500 calories a day eat 1500 a day therefore, you will lose approx 2lbs a week.
the knowledge is easy, it putting it into practice thats difficult. I've been meditating more frequently to keep cravings away...its heping so far
good luck
