Hey there, I'm 19, female and I desprately need to loose about 50 pounds. I don't know what kind of DDR regimen to do, like.. in the fiteness mode.
I have DDR Maxx and DDR Maxx2 for PS2
I've been playing for half an hour, alternating between light and standard, is this too little? I really have no clue!
Help please!!

I just bought Max last Friday and I found my self moving up to Heavy by Sunday. In workout mode the steps seem spread apart alot more than in game mode where you see alot of really close steps. What I'm getting at is that once you move up to heavy in work out mode you'll notice it's not that much harder than light and that it's much more conducive to burning calories and working up a sweat because of the pace.

What you're running into is the "easier" workout steps. There's three stars of workout difficulty, and I'll wager you're on one star. Kick it up to a full three and you'll see a huge difference in the song's difficulty.

As longa s you're playing enough to work up a good sweat, and get yourself breathing heavy, you're getting that heart rate up, which is good. You'll also want to watch your diet. Cut out as much sugar as you can, and make sure to eat plenty of vegetables. It's always easier to cut back on calories than to try to exercise them off. If you burn 250 calories per hour of DDR, you can experience the same calorie savings by not having one can of sugar soda, or one normal sized candy bar. Doing both the DDR and not the snack gives you double the benefit of either one. Diet and exercise go hand in hand for success.

I can't figure it out and the book doesn't seemm to explain.

It should be on the workout mode settings page, the one where you set your weight. It's under the "Workout steps" option. Three stars will match the game mode, though I think you may also have to turn freezes back on as well to get it fully matching.

Thanks!

Just work out until you feel that you've worked out enough (IE nice heart rate, could be 30-45 mins).
Soon you'll be on heavy and be like HIZZAH!
