I need to lose about 10 pounds for when I go back to school in September which gives me about 1 month.
I have DDR which I can play, but with all the work I've been doing I get lazy when I get back home... I also eat kind of unhealthy.
I need to know how much DDR I should do in a day and ways that I can stop eating so much and stuff.
Anyone have advice on how I should/can do it?

Also how much sleep should I be getting each night? Recently I've been falling asleep around 1:30 and waking up at 9:00, 7.5 hours of sleep... enough for a 16 yr old?

Might be.. kinda depends on the person. I'm 15 and if I'm going to be playing DDR a lot I need like 9 hours. I think adults are supposed to get 8 hours of sleep and us young'ns are supposed to get a bit more than that.. I'd aim for at least 8 though.

I can play 7-8 step songs... how many songs do you think would be good per day?

I've done better without setting specific goals like.. number of songs.. But if I do, it's strictly a guideline. I think you should play until you get too tired OR kinda burnt out, so that you'll actually want to play again the next day. If you push yourself when it's not fun anymore, your motivation is going to go out the window.
Some days, I play as few as 5 songs and my legs are achey or I have no energy or I just think "Wow, I'm not having fun." So I just quit. And other days I play for hours and hours on end. Just have fun and you should be fine =)

Yeah, I find I can usually go through 10-15 songs before I get tired. (I'm not in too bad of shape, just look fat.)
I still need tips on losing the weight though, like what foods I should avoid, how much I should exercise daily, and any other tips that I might find helpful and stuff.

You probably already know this but drink water instead of soda! I'm not sure if like Sports Drinks are okay so I just stick with the water..

Foods to avoid: Sugars (soda, candy, fruit juices, etc), "white" foods (potatoes, pasta, rice, bread), Fried foods and fatty meats
Foods to get more of: Whole grains, vegetables (the darker the color the better), berries, lean meats and fish.
Even if you can just do a little, like stop drinking sugar soda, you'll notice a difference. Just about everyone I have spoken to who has stopped sugar soda has lost 10-20 lbs from that one change alone.
As far as exercise length, 30-45 minutes per day at a level that works up a sweat and leaves you a little short of breath is a great start.

Hi i suggest jogging it works better than ddr IMHO. after playing ddr for a while i was like man its been 30 mins and am not out of breath yet. so i decided to jog 6 times a week instead for 25 mins a day. and throw in a little ddr for fun. and i do eat white foods like pasta and potato but i dont go over 380 calories when i eat them for dinner. and i eat the microwave/stove ones u buy by the way. there full of protein! i usually eat: breakfeast: two boiled eggs or a yogurt. or cereal lunch: school crappy lunch dinner: a 380 calorie and below dinner with a apple or bannana. and for snacks sugar-free jello but i barely eat them.
thats it i started doing this july 20 and i have gone from 208 to 191. so yeah yo u can do it. good luck.
btw when i go jog i use an mp3 player with rock to keep me going and motivated.

Try swimming. 1 mile worth of running is like 3 minutes worth of swimming. and swimming is cool.
